Helped by God

Do you ever think how you are able to do certain things or carry out certain tasks? Have you stopped to reflect and ask yourself how am I able to do things that I thought impossible?

In my experience, I have learned that I am helped by God.

The Word of God tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:5 KJV

"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;"

It is within this verse we as believers in Jesus Christ understand that we cannot do anything fruitful for the Kingdom of God in our own way and strength.

Similarly,

The Word of God tells us in Acts 14: 27 NIV

"On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles."

In this verse Paul and Barnabas are acknowledging that it is God who has enabled Paul and Barnabas to do the good works in fulfilling His will.

Also, The Word of God tells us in Judges 6:6 NIV

"Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out to the LORD for help."

And in Judges 6:7-8 NIV

"When the Israelites cried out to the LORD because of Midian, he sent them a prophet,..."

In these verse, we can see that God heard the cries of His people and sent help!

I would also like to include this verse:

The Word of God tells us in Exodus 3:7 NIV

"The LORD said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering."

And In Exodus 3:10 NIV

"So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."

In this verse, God was sending Moses to be a deliverer to the Israelites who were under the reign of Pharoah who kept them in bondage.

And this verse Psalm 60: 11-12 NIV

"Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. With God we will gain victory, and he will trample down our enemies."

So we see by the Word of God that if God does not help a man he cannot be helped!

Apostle Joshua Selman once said, " True and lasting help comes from God"

And in my experience I have come to a humble understanding that if God does not help me I cannot be helped. For it is God who is my helper and I have come to peace knowing this!
